I've watched all of USL's games this year. They are literally getting worse as the season goes along, especially at QB.
Undefeated in conference ONLY due to the idiot coach at South Alabama.
Really don't see how that dude still has a job.

Maybe -- but they're winning the ones they're supposed to win. Their best win, going into Week 6, is over 3-1 So.Ala. And their worst loss was to 4-1 Texas. Nothing to disrespect in either of those. (And Chickenhawks' worst loss, for their part, was to 5-0 Coastal. No shame there.)
I havent watched any of their games so have no idea what either team is playing like. But when I look at records, at their seasons so far ... I'd rank the Cajuns somewhere around 30, northeast around 50-ish, and Tech somewhere around 90.
Maybe our Bulldogs would kick each of them in the teeth. No idea. But the UL twins are having better seasons than Tech at this point.
ULL won 20-18. South Alabama had several chances to win the game in the 4t Qtr, but trailing 20-18, the USA coach refused to let his kicker kick a PAT length FG for 3 pts when USA had the ball on 4th down at ULL's 3 yd line midway thru the 4th Qtr. Later, South Alabama actually missed a very short FG for the win (again, PAT length) on the last play of the game. Now I understood why the USA coach didn't let his kicker kick earlier.
In that game BOTH teams missed chip shot FG's and PAT's. It was the game nobody wanted to win.
ULL is the most over-rated team in America. And it all goes back to the COVID season of 2020. ULL was very lucky. While most college teams were cancelling and rescheduling games due to COVID, ULL hardly encountered a blip. LA Tech had 3 games cancelled early (Baylor, Prairie View and Vandy), and rescheduled with Houston Baptist, BYU & ULM. Later in the season Tech had 3 more games cancelled with Rice, ULM, & FIU, and went 5 weeks in a row between games at one point. And then TCU was added at the last minute. And never mind Tech had players "opting out" and not playing each week, etc...
Meanwhile, ULL was just playing football. The Cajuns only had 2 regular season games cancelled the whole season, and they were all spread out nicely. ULL's first cancellation was in week 5, and the next in week 11. Ultimately, the Sunbelt championship game against Coastal Carolina was cancelled too, but I'm sure ULL did't mind that since Coastal had beaten ULL earlier in the season.
You are what your record says you are:
Lafayette is currently 4 -1
La Tech is currently 2 -3
End of the story!
It's the same story every year because ULL plays a shit schedule. ULL lost the only game that mattered to date. The other 4 teams are jokes! When does ULL play the Little Sisters of the Poor? That ULL vs South Alabama game looked worse than two Class A High School teams playing.

Maybe in the NFL. But in college football you are what your record AND your schedule say you are.
The Cajuns have 4 wins. But those 4 teams they beat (after Week 6) have a total of 4 FBS wins amongst them (and one FCS loss!) At this point in the season, they've beaten teams ranging from bad to ok. And got throttled by their only opponent so far with an FBS record over .500.
Yes, Tech has three (narrow) losses. But those three teams have 11 FBS wins amongst them so far. At this point in the season, I'd rank Laffy somewhere around 35-40 and Tech at about 70-ish.
But good on the (promiscuous, alcoholic) little sisters for winning the games they're supposed to win. Great job yall!
Cajuns 4-1
Bulldogs 2-3
It is what it is baby!!!
A lot of big talk about strength of schedule coming from fans of a team that plays in the weakezt G5 Conference in the country!
Cajuns 4-1
Bulldogs 2-3
