They would be a perfect fit for the weak-azz CUSA East!

Standard responses from league commissioners. Will be interesting to see what school presidents have to say. Shriveling CUSA trying to stay relevant.

Time to put our university ahead of CUSA. We may have leverage with Judy, but not with the real movers and shakers in college athletics.

The "separation" thing is never going to happen for us in Louisiana. Been waiting for 4 decades. We are going backwards in everything other than baseball.

Not thinking big enough.... That is all I will say. Also, being in a conference with ULL or ULM would be a disaster. I would much rather see us make an all out play to get in the AAC and forget aligning with Sun Belt schools. Yeah, they did okay last year and are decent this year. The key is overall program and conference perception, though. When it comes to that, the Belt is still the Belt. Just say no... Once we are associated with them, it is all over. We can have a bad year or two, but a good year in the belt is still just a good year in the belt.

What makes you think we have a chance for the AAC? Our leadership? Our giving? Our stuff? Our brand? Seriously, other than our loyalty, what do we have to hang our hat on?

The silence from our leaders regarding the AAC situation says it all.

I don't think we're "going backwards" with basketball.

Another POV? The whole CFB world is telling CUSA “stuff it!” We are the worst league in FBS and have no leverage in negotiating with other conferences.

IDK. We been "so close" for so many years going back to Michael "the choker" White, I can't keep up. Anything less than an NCAA bid is indeed going backwards.

So, what do you want done strategically that's not already being pursued?

We can't handle the little things like getting baseball tickets tended to. Sorry if I don't expect our leadership to succeed in improving our position in the pecking order of AAC candidates.

Well, we should find out something in the next week or so about our AAC chances.

Big season for us this year. I'm hopeful--even bought season tickets for the first time in a while.
