Let’s just assume that we are down 24-20 in the closing seconds and Skip plays for the FG. Then if we sneak up and win by 1, we are all happy.

Regarding Tech not covering the spread on wins, I'd day:
1) SLU was a much better football team than I was led to believe prior to the game. The Lions are 4-1 right now, including wins in the last 2 weeks over McNeese and Nicholls. I suspect SLU will finish their season 10-1, or 9-2.
2) Tech didn't even play our starting QB for the entire UNT game. Not sure "covering the spread" was important. But it doesn't change the fact that we won the game using a series of backup QB's.
Keeping perspective is important.
SLU's Cole Kelley has 1999 passing yards, completing at 74.55% (number 1 in FCS) and 18 Passing TDs.
I wish we could of picked him up from Arkansas. Dude is on a Bailey Zappe level.
Watched the "lowlights" of last year's anemic 21-17 win over UTEP. Blah! It is true we had huge OL troubles and that certainly hurts, but we had barely 200 yards in total offense, they had 1 turnover, we had none, and they had about 130 yards in penalties to our 30 and a HUGE call on roughing our punter which was, ahem, ticky-tack. Our defense played well; their two TDs were a long pass play and a 100-yard kickoff return. Skippy got out-coached, again, except one might say the mental errors committed by UTEP is a reflection of poor coaching.
So...it was a one-score game last year in Ruston, who's to say it won't swing their way this year?
Biggest problem is playing QB Musical Chair with Aaron Allen and Luke Anthony last year. We tried it this year against UNT (Allen/Head).
I think we will be okay against UTEP under Austin. If he continues to use his legs more like he did against NC State, he will be a very dangerous threat.
Plus we had real big issues at OL and Henderson didn't do jack at RB. It was an awful offense. Total offense against 2020 UTEP was 210. This year we are avg 412.2 per game!
I've kept up with posters' picks from previous games throughout this season (and before). All you have to do is scroll back through them to see who does/doesn't understand football. Lots of folks on here either don't understand football or are clueless about our team.
Have you considered those Dogs?
I'm not talking in code. There is a prediction thread that usually accompanies each of the games. If you want to get a feel for who has a prediction worth considering, read over the threads and then compare the predictions with the outcomes. I don't waste a second of time considering the prediction of any poster who is grossly inaccurate on a number of previous predictions.

I just thought you had a hot pick! That sentence was not intended to be important
