The guy tied to Ok. St. that would be great (that we couldn't afford) would be Yurcich. No chance we could get him, but that guy (despite today) is good at Offense.
We should be paying pretty close to the FCS playoffs, too. Got to be some bright up and comers in that mix.

Lebby knows he will get his chance, and he will make sure that wherever he goes he will at least have the resources to be successful, like money to pay for good assistants. Even if we could come up with 1.2 million, I doubt we could increase our assistant pay enough to lure him to Ruston. I’d love to be wrong.
Probably not the big splash they are looking for, but probably one of the top three choices IMHO. He would be affordable, Thus you could afford assistants, and he operates the type of offense we want to see.
He has a very good track record, he probably fits our culture, and would be familiar with the recruiting grounds already. So far he is really my favorite but also pretty risky bringing and FCS coach up.
Jeff Grimes, the OC at Baylor. Lot of experience at a number of schools. A little surprised his name hasn't surfaced more for HC jobs but he might just be one of those "journeyman" coaches.
Tech needs...
an energetic HC, one who likes wide-open, attacking offense, AND, VERY IMPORTANTLY! one who will hire a good DC and allow him, and his other coaches to actually coach!
Now...who is this fellow?
Morris at UIW is decent.
Upside:
He is young and ambitious
He has a great Texas Tech pedigree
He is offense minded
Has some big wins in FCS and knows how to go for conference championships
Downside:
Risk of bringing an FCS coach (but there is risk with anyone)
I believe he is only 23-17 as a head coach (not a great overall record)
The Texas Tech offense mindedness might outweigh the downside. I will add that he can probably recruit Texas and could do more at Tech than with an FCS UIW.
