Much more likely that the "boy blunder" who is now in Nashville never said a word to him. Wood is the meeting type, so I guarantee that they have talked. The only question is has there been a meeting since the open date week.

Re: Did anyone listen to the Skip Holtz show?

Listening to Holtz’s summary of the OD game, I found myself getting angry at the depth of the BS and what I took to be him lying in hindsight about what took place. After watching the game and hearing him talk about it its crystal clear to me that he puts more effort into his scripted excuses than he does into any sort of game winning strategy. I can’t tell you how many times he said he did things differently this game because people considered him too conservative and yet aside from maybe two plays in the whole game, the fake punt and the idiotic fourth down bomb, I saw the same old very predictable, low risk, lower reward, Skippy. Something else that came to light that was absolutely mind numbing. Holtz said OD, after a bye week, showed up in formations and ran schemes that they hadn’t run before. Oh my god what a concept using your two weeks to prepare for an opponent and showing them something they haven’t seen before... that’s unheard of. Holtz takes a two week bye to redo nothing and improve nothing. If you doubt it look at Holtz’s Tech after a bye record. The last thing I’ll say here is how disgusting it was to hear him comment about his team being ‘fragile’. Any fragility on this teams behalf is created by Holtz. He constantly coaches his players down and he instills a fear in them of playing to win.

The team is a reflection of Skips coaching ability and ego…. That’s what is fragile.

I am sure he will be the coach again next year, because our admin is just as fragile.

I texted a question. They didn’t use it.

    The program is well screened.

Quint’s softball questions always get asked.

Any question that goes above about a 3 out of 10 on the difficulty scale is a waste of time to send since those are ignored.

JBIII could never be called fragile. Skippy is fragile.

Up until the 2003 season Jack had a listed home phone number.

I liked pretty much everything about JBIII other than the result on the field at times. You think about what any coach from JRP up until skip did with the schedules and teams they had to play, there were some brutal stretches for those coaches. Give them the schedules Skip has had for the most part and everyone else would probably have multiple titles and rankings.

Not Skippy though no sir, he doesn't want to hurt the other teams feelings, or accidentally create expectations he knows he can't consistently match.

JB III would have flourished in CUSA with this crap schedule. He consistently played some of the hardest schedules for a school our size.
