Y'all know that Guice can't turn us into a major media market right? Because that's why we aren't in the AAC.

Y'all know that Guice can't move us out of Louisiana, right? Because I doubt ESPN wanted 3 Louisiana schools in the Sunbelt.

You know the buck stops with Guice on crappy deals with Learfield and Aramark. You know the buck stops with Guice in crappy hires that set us back decades. You know Guice is the #1 cheerleader for a conference commissioner who looks as inept in her position as our people do in theirs.

You know excuse making and settling for apathy helps nothing.

Weird how we’ve been set back for a decade, despite enjoying one of more successful periods of Tech athletics. Besides it’s almost like there’s more to running a university than athletics...

Dr Guice, why don’t we go to FCS if we aren’t going to try and excel in FBS?

Yes, and enrollment has fallen, advertising is nonexistent, and a few of our once proud programs are shells of their former selves.

What are the alternatives? Learfield and Aramark feel like as much of an option as Suddenlink.

In house management. We are not so large that we can't manage things ourselves. Thanks to these brilliant management groups we now have C-USA ultralight with fewer fans to enjoy it.

So please explain why Tech has declined in many areas? Enrollment is down, academics are down (no ranked programs), athletics are down.. Where has Tech improved in the last 10-15 years? We do have nice new facilities on campus, but it doesn't reflect in student enrollment. Athletic programs are the marketing arm of the university. 25-50% of the fans that fill P5 stadiums never attended the university that they watch football at. Tech at this point has driven many alumni away that don't want to attend athletic events. Getting people who never attended Tech interested in Tech is how you get additional $$$$ flowing to the university.

Good post. The question is, are any of these BB&Ber's going to pay attention to it?

....and until recently, Guice was the President of the CUSA Council of Presidents (or whatever it's called). He was the guy IN CHARGE!

What we don't see from Guice is STRONG LEADERSHIP. Again, he's a friendly guy and a nice guy. But he's not a guy that makes you feel comfortable that an adult is in charge.

His experience is exclusively in academia and only at Louisiana Tech.

Like with Holtz, most who questioned Guice's abilities were shouted down.

And now look at where we are.
