McMurphy is saying that Sunbelt isn't looking to expand and I can believe it. ESPN has been pushing alot of these realignments and I don't think ESPN has a reason to add teams to the Sunbelt. The Sunbelt is perfect for odd week night filler and bowl game fillers. Adding 2-4 teams won't pish the needle for them.

I wouldn’t doubt that the six to the AAC and you guys and Marshall to the Sun Belt are a done deal and our administration is still discussing putting together an exploratory committee to look into conference realignment.
Y’all shouldn’t worry because I have it from a fairly reliable source that somewhere on campus the Tech powers at be are crowded in an undisclosed dark closet handing a Magic 8 Ball back and forth asking it what to do and what’s going to happen in Tech’s future.

I am sure the only announcement we will get is the usual "well, we tried guys". Not any detail etc. just the old trust us.
I have an old friend that is deeply involved with USM athletics. This morning he told me that USM is moving to the SBC as soon as possible. It is 100% certainty.
I asked about LaTech moving to the SBC and he stated that he knows if no other schools joining or leaving the SBC.
