I predict DAC and suites will be 90% full for HC.. Announced attendance 14,800 Real attendance maybe 9K..
Does the fact that Tech will be stranded in a worthless conference impact attendance?

Conference situation won’t affect attendance, yet. It will give us something to talk about in the stands since UTSA will make sure the game isn’t interesting. We will announce 15k but actual will be around 7000.
Everybody that can show up needs to be there. Support the team and the school. It's homecoming and we have a top 25 team to play at home. They need our support more than ever.
They aren't giving them away yet, but they announced a 72 hour flash sale for discounted tickets. Predicted 15,000. Actually I was going to say about half that but since 05 already said 7k ill take the under at 6,500.
Unfortunately, they have lived off the die hard fans giving and showing up no matter what for decades. I think more than a few have finally had enough. Showing up in huge numbers and spending money validates the poor decisions that have been piling up for ages. It does suck for the players, but the only way to voice displeasure with the product, that is left, is to not buy said product. They have repeatedly shown they won't listen to anyone but a select few, and that one persons $100k is somehow greener than a total sum of $100k from 100 fans.Originally Posted by deb025

For what it's worth, I talked to two guys today who are retired and have nothing to do but go to Tech games. Both were in El Paso this past weekend and they will be headed to Virginia next weekend. They both have been at the practices this week and were genuinely surprised at how the practices went. Very upbeat and focused - lot of energy compared to what they have been watching since August. One of them isn't sure if it's the coaches who have changed, the other guy said he believes it's some of the players who have stepped up and leading. I'm not making and predictions and probably share the same expectations as most on here but y'all know Skip. He comes out and wins when no one was looking for it.
Not doubting what you heard, but there was nowhere to go but up.
