As surprised as I am, I was impressed with ULM’s play at LSU. If it wasn’t for a couple of freaky failed 4th and goals ULM might’ve beaten LSU. ULM is easily better than Tech. They actually played hard, weren’t intimidated, didn’t quit, didn’t play stupid and ran some plays trying to take the game to LSU and win it. Seeing an underdog making a valiant effort to pull an upset makes Holtz’s losing approach all that much more distasteful. LSU 24-14 with 3:20. ULM just failed to get their attempted onside kick.
I agree with you. ULM has looked better than LSU for most of this 2nd half. This ULM team would beat last night's LA Tech team by 40 points. And I'm NOT exaggerating.
