I didn't go to the Spring game but went to the practice on Friday. Couldn't tell a whole lot as one can image (-:.
Seemed liked Downing started all the new series of drills with McNeil second and then mixing up after that with Liddy primarily third. Think there were only four QBs out there and the other one's number didn't match any showing on the rooster. Between Downing and McNeil, Downing seemed like the most athletic but McNeil seemed to throw a better ball (especially deep). Some of the receivers had some pretty good catches. Couldn't tell anything about the RBs as they were running mostly passing drills.
My overall impressions were we look pretty small on the lines (though again its hard to judge from a practice).
Assuming the kickers were kicking from the correct spot (I was down on the other end), they could both reach the end zone on kickoffs.
Overall, seems to be a very enthusiastic group of guys. Coach appears to be high energy.
Way over using this bogus "ever loyal be" crap. Our leaders are anything but loyal to LaTech.
They had beer at concessions
Probably why they ran out at the baseball game.
Downing looked good at QB
