It has been a rough week to be a Louisiana Tech fan. Thus, I come bearing some good news. LA Tech defeats the No. 1 team in the nation, Nebraska, 1,119-986

College bowling works like this. You have a tournament with a lot of teams. On Friday you bowl five baker games per round against a number of teams. On Saturday you bowl traditional games with 5 bowlers against a number of teams. This sets up a bracket for Sunday.
On Sunday you bowl the bracket to determine the overall champion. So yes, it is a single game in a larger pool but the outcome is the same. Tech defeated the current #1 team, a program that has a LONG history in college bowling (men and women) and has produced a number of top tier, PWBA level talent.
Just so you know, that 1119 is 223.8 average on a sport shot and was one of the best games, if not the best single team game of the event so far this weekend. I'll update this post with where we stand after day 2 but just thought some of you would appreciate a little bit of good Tech news.
