Knock it off. Remember, it helps nothing to lose at this point. We won’t get rid of bad coaches any faster. Be happy if you want to.

Less than 3000 in attendance and we just barely beat a horrible team that will likely go bowling and be in the AAC after playing FBS football for a half dozen years. I’m giddy!
Barks and Bytes, still angry after a win with our 3rd string QB
Some of us are angry about what happened Labor Day weekend up to now. Squeaking by a team we should beat by 30 is not a reason to be joyful. Our team, athletic department, and university are at a low point. Now celebrate the great win.
Breaking a 5 game losing streak is not a high point, it’s only mildly offsetting a low point.
I was thinking the same thing about the O-Line, but maybe it's more Charlotte's D-Line is not so good. Teams with good edge rushers have gotten to Tech's QBs over and over again. But, for the most part, AA played well - at least the best I think I have ever seen him play. But if he had been pressured, he wouldn't have looked so good.
I have no idea how Luke Anthony's rehab is coming along so I'm just being silly here, but how about we let Luke start next week to see how he can do? Or maybe Caleb Holstein? Has the Austin Kendall experiment come to an end? A little bit different topic, but it seems to me Cedric Woods' play is not near as good this year as last. I thought he had the chance to be another star for Tech based on what I saw last year.
Skippy said Luke's rehab is coming along nicely, but he won't be cleared for full activities for another 2-3 months at least. The setback and follow-up surgery turned it into a 15-18 month rehab. Tech will be petitioning for a hardship year.
JD has one game to play. Hard to not see AA as starter next week if either AK or JD aren't near 100%.
USM started Frank Gore at QB against UTSA. They basically have no QBs left.
During the UAB game, the TV announcers kept talking about the 4 game limit for a player before it was considered using a year of eligibility (in reference to Head). Now they are talking about Luke Anthony having another year of eligibility? When did we start making being a college athlete a career? As I understand it, everyone got a free year last year. Do we think Head will be the next rockstar and be the starting QB for multiple years?
And you probably feel like we won the Super Bowl.
Oh, it is a sad commentary on the state of a once proud program when a win over a bad football team is all the sunshine pumpers have to crow about.
The numbers that matter:
3-7 in 2021
0 bowl appearances in 2021
2 consecutive non-winning seasons
0 conference championships under Skip Holtz
JD Head needs about 25 more pounds and he needs to be hitting the weights HARD this off season. I really like his pass accuracy and the "touch" he puts on his passes. He also moves around and up into the pocket real well as a pocket passer. BUT......JD Head hasgotten "injured" in both games that he has played in this season. That's not good. It smacks of fragility. A QB1 does us NO GOOD sitting on the bench. He's just gotta get tougher in the offseason.
