I know some don't like this early season easy schedule, but I think it may do the Lady Techsters some good to get some wins under their belt. Neither of these first games should be any completion, but should point out any deficits early. I think winning some early could help change the mindset of this team. We need to get to a winning culture and move forward from that. Any defeat (no matter the competition level) should be thought of as a failure and we should have the confidence to think of a loss in that way. A winning culture again is something that can be done and should have been the first job Brooke tried to do. I hope these confidence building wins lead to real wins when we get to real competition.

LSU-A represents a good change. Good for both schools actually. Area high school players not good enough for Div I will get a chance to see what the Generalettes can do....I changed it to the -ettes...against a DI foe and might be drawn to LSU-A. And those, in CENLA, who are Div I worthy might give Tech a look whereas before we weren't on their radar.

And as I posted, we have a chance to hook some youngsters as fans, hopefully for life.

My complaint is more about the overall weakness of the schedule, but the men's schedule seems much worse to me consistently. Maybe that's because no one runs numbers for the girls so its simply not apparent.

But if we're going to have a weak-heavy schedule, yes, definitely prefer to get used to winning early.
