I am Ultra Conservative, in the top 2% of greatest Americans. Some of the choices in the poll were too polarized, and I would have, in a few cases, chosen something in-between. But given the choices were limited to an either-or, I selected the good American answer.
No fiscal questions?
Weird
I was categorized there as well, but found most of the questions rather shallow and related to one narrative or another, which is exactly what is dividing the nation.
Pew probably needs to research their methodology a little more.
Just read dawg80's response and "polarized" was the correct analysis of the flawed poll. For the most part, it was a waste of time.
"ambivalent right"
i agree with dawg80 and dawgynwindow. several questions i would rather have answered "neither" or "both".
also, i'd be willing to bet my combination of answers would be different from the majority of people who averaged out to the same category as i did.
This is a good "where do you fit politically" questionnaire
