If a football team plays a game and no one sees it, did it happen?
Maybe Holtz can get us to 4 wins before he leaves. I see these two teams as a perfect match-up. Records are exactly the same OOC and conference. Not often do you see that...
Surely we won’t see the same old worn out game plan and play calling. Why not go out throwing everything to the wind. I’d like to see Holtz give the players a chance to shine with their athleticism being forefront in what takes place. Lets run some reverses, a shovel pass, flea flicker, an inside screen... reverse a kickoff return. There’s no limit to what we could try. I expect Rice to what I just said, so let’s beat them to it and do it better. Do what it takes to take the game to them and not wait and hope we can win on a last play field goal. Oh and on defense, cover close and tackle the guy with the ball.
Tech 30
Rice 27
JD Head starting at QB.
Kendall will be a gametime decision as to whether he is available.
Means and Emilus out at WR
Henry-Brooks out at RB.
Levi Bell, Fulp, and Buchanan out on defense.
Rice wins the toss and defers.
Nice opening drive but not quite as nice a finish.
But Skippy gets his comfy blanket FG. And it was the right call to get points after all of that work. 15 plays 76 yards in 7:15.
Nice touch by JD to Harris. 10-0 Tech.
JD 7 of 9 for 116 in the 1st quarter.
Head to Tre Harris on about a 50 yard TD pass. Sweet.
And then the swiss cheese parts.... Can't stand prosperity.
TD pass nullified by Rice 70 yard TD run.
Come on Sunshine, lead us to victory
Woods misses a sitter INT and allows a TD pass.
Another double-digit lead blown quickly after the D can't stop anything.
Usual suspects attempting to play OL and failing again.
