Yes, but in alot of ways he overachieved despite how disadvantaged our team was monetarily compared to other teams in the conference. You can't always be in the conference championship with the lowest budget.

Watching the CUSA championship I was really impressed by how far behind Holtz had Tech in offensive schemes, play calling and player efforts. It’s a good thing Wood cut our dead weight loose otherwise we’d be gulping water even worse next year. At least now we’ve got a chance to catch back up. One thing for sure if Tech is to be competitive in CUSA again, we’ve got to match every other teams’ offense but be the best of everyone in defense. I think good D could be what sets us apart.
