He should be excused from anything other than walkthroughs before next Saturday morning (11:00 AM tip on ESPNU) when the Ragin' Chili Pepper Leopards come to Ruston.

Sounds like a good plan to me. With the travel out to California for the Santa Clara game, it's very possible he didn't do much between the TX Southern game and today's game.

Didn't do anything yesterday because the team flight was fogged in at Monroe yesterday morning. Missed the connection at Houston, so the team arrived over seven hours later than scheduled.

Watching UAB at SLU now on Bally Sports Midwest. Blazers down 4 early in the 2nd half.

    Junior, Bulldogs Take Down Broncos

A new article has been posted on www.latechsports.com:

Kenneth Lofton, Jr. recorded a game-high 31 points and 14 rebounds and Louisiana Tech went a perfect 13-of-13 from the foul line, including four big ones in the final 10 seconds, to come away with a 78-75 victory over Santa Clara on Saturday afternoon inside the Leavey Center.

    Discuss it here.

Let's hope that is exactly the plan.

UAB wins 77-72 at St. Louis.

Ertel was big down the stretch for the Blazers.

Does Konkol get the credit for when we make our free throws, or just the blame for when we miss them?
    Have you considered those Dogs?

Whatever he is doing, keep doing it. In the last 5 games, Tech is 79-94 from the line for 84.0%. Took every one of the 13-13 from the line to win today.

I imagine he's doing the same thing he's always done.

You get good results when a team hits FTs at a high %, and usually lose when you don't. Whether Konkol has emphasized FT shooting in practice or the players have taken it upon themselves to improve, or! they are just hot right now, you can see the results of hitting your FTs. Which some of us have been screaming about.

Hitting 84% as a team is very good. If we keep that up the rest of the way (and that will be an accomplishment if it were to happen) then some very good things will open up for this team.

But, hey! if it works, I don't mind continuing. Who's next? Oh, the Cajuns. Well, we'll be lucky to compete and stay within 10 points...

BTW, Bama beat Gonzaga last night on the road. Hmmm....

That is great news for us! I was hoping Bama would do very well to help us out. Wish we would have been hot with our FT's in that game.
