This game might be much tougher than I imagined. 6-2 with wins over Nevada, Stanford, and TCU.

Hah! I expect to get smoked by 12-15 points tonight. I'll be pleasantly surprised if we even "compete." Yeah, anything can happen, like we get red hot from the arc, bank in a few 3s, but barring some crazy game, ah, no.

I feel the same. I just don't see Tech playing the defense they need to play to slow down that fast Santa Clara high scoring offense. I think our guys will score a lot of points, but they'll get into a shootout and likely get "out-shot". I do expect Tech's DEFENSE to get better as the season progresses.

But, hey! if it works, I don't mind continuing. Who's next? Oh, the Cajuns. Well, we'll be lucky to compete and stay within 10 points...

BTW, Bama beat Gonzaga last night on the road. Hmmm....

That is great news for us! I was hoping Bama would do very well to help us out. Wish we would have been hot with our FT's in that game.

Junior is a gametime decision to play today with the bruised ribs.

I was wondering what his status was going to be. I hope he sits out today, even though that greatly lessens our chances to win.

He is going to try to go as I would have expected. How long he can go is the question.

Don't need those ribs to become a lingering issue for the rest of the season.

No doubt. Shouldn't have been totally his decision. 4-6 weeks for ribs to heal, only way for them to heal is rest.

He must have put some pain numbing cream on them bad boys or something because he wasn't playing like sore ribs were an issue.

He should be excused from anything other than walkthroughs before next Saturday morning (11:00 AM tip on ESPNU) when the Ragin' Chili Pepper Leopards come to Ruston.

    Tech 20
    Santa Clara 18

Not sure of our defense, but we are taking them out of rhythm.
