"I chose La Tech because of the following reasons; Ruston is a town that I want to represent on the football field. I love the small town atmosphere. Coach Cumbie, Coach Parr and the rest of the staff are the biggest reason I chose La Tech. They are all great leaders, and I would run through a brick wall for them if they told me to. I couldn’t imagine playing for anyone else.” Tech TE commit John Locke
This is the kind of attitude we need to be recruiting in my opinion.

Love it. And I love to see a TE saying it! LA Tech needs a little more of a "blue collar" attitude in its' sports.

Well, he was recruited by Harvard so he's probably pretty sharp.

If everyone is going after FBS transfers in the portal that means that maybe some good players are being overlooked from the juco ranks (especially since you might assume the juco talent level is a little higher than normal because the covid year high school recruiting classes weren't handled as normal and maybe pushed an average higher caliber class into the juco system).

I think this is partly how UTEP had the successful (by their standards) season they did.

I hope Navarro had some OL guys with potential.

    Does that make sense?
Hey, look at that! A Juco OL commitment.

If we can run routes and catch the ball, we don’t have to be really fast, but I hope our coaches can get most of those guys closer to 5 with some under. Surely college workouts will get them there.

Thanks for clearing that up. I was thinking that looked awful slow for skill position players. I didn’t know what I was looking at.

I think my 50+ year old lard arse can still run a 5.5 forty, but it would only be once with a month needed to recover. I might pull off a 5.3 forty if being chased or scared enough. I think my rivals rating would only top out at 0.5 though.

I wondered if that's what OldBlue and Techman05 were talking about? LOL!

If we're recruiting this many players running 40's that slow, we need MUCH BETTER recruits....
