And JSU led ULL by double digits for much of that game.
ESPNU had "Louisiana", though, and that is all they called them. I noticed on Tech social media, they were the Ragin Cajuns or ULL.
Yes, EllAye Tech and ULM are the only two teams left in the nation who don't refer to them as UL or Louisiana. Great job by the leaders at those two schools and N La legislators for not demanding the bill passed and signed would be followed.
Actually, I think almost ALL of the in-state schools still call them ULL or Louisiana-Lafayette.
Here, most, if not all, NSU fans refer to the two schools as "Lafayette" and "Monroe." For instance, they will say "the Demons play Monroe in women's basketball, and the guys travel to play Lafayette next week." No reference to "university" or "Louisiana," just the two cities' names. Some older fans still use "NLU" and "USL."
Correct / look on any in-state schedule and you’ll see ULL, UL-Lafayette, Louisiana Lafayette, etc. Nothing that says Louisiana. ULM has Ragin’ Cajuns on their schedules, I’m sure the SBC won’t allow them to call ‘em anything but the thing they aren’t.
The Sunbelt endorses UL and Louisiana whole heartedly. They are the fagship program of the UL system
