I have a LOT of problems with the way Konkol and Tech played the last 5 minutes of that game. They didn't play SMART basketball. They had LSU on the ropes.

Lived by the 3 in the first half. Died by the 3 in the second half.

That and several bad turnovers were killers.

Am I off to say that the number thrown up shots at the end of a shot clock after no semblance of organized offense would indicate poor coaching?

I would think that with no more size than we have we would do more off ball screens, motion, and cuts to the basket. We seem to stand around a lot and settle for 3’s. Which is okay if you have some consistent 3 point shooters.

I’m not a big fan of Williams. Too many turnovers.

That's true, but you always kind of hope deep down you're not going to lose this time

We've had more than a few semi big name wins under Konkol but obviously the last game collapses in the important games stand out

With 2:50 left, Kenneth Lofton Jr scored a 2-pt basket on a layup, to tie the game 57-57.

LA Tech never scored another point.

Gaines was the difference / white ref was awful / he’s the reason JR was on the bench most of 2nd half

#2 on defense and # 13 on offense were the difference for LSU.

Too much standing around by Tech on offense in the 2nd half. And we have trouble finishing at the rim.

Amen to that. By my count, LSU got at least 3 "high hoppers" off the front of the rim to drop, including a 3-pointer, and Tech had several close one's that didn't drop.

Exactly. Even the TV announcers were talking about how nobody for Tech was moving around on offense. It was like 4 statues just standing around, and one guy dribbling the ball.

It was a good game. Their height and depth finally got us. Worst part was the Walmart LSU fans acting smug when “their” team finally took over late after bring outplayed most of the game.
