Maybe this is a good sign for free throws in tight games this year, at least. 40 made free throws is a LOT!
40 of 46 from the line. That's a ton of fouls called on them, half their team must have fouled out. McNeese was 12 of 20 from the line, so we outscored them by 28 pts from the line, yet only won by 17. This game was won on the FT line.
But...why did we miss 6 FTs? That's concerning....Yowzah!

McNeese had 32 fouls called against them - but only one player fouled out - and she committed 5 fouls in 6 minutes!!!!! Tech got called for 18 fouls - 50 fouls between the two teams - that's an average of more than 1 a minute!!!!! https://latechsports.com/sports/wome...boxscore/10557
I noticed Anna Larr Roberson didn't show up in the box score. I'm hoping she's not injured and/or there isn't some other serious issue. Does anyone know why she didn't play in the McNeese game?
She hurt her ankle in the first quarter of the game against ULL on Sunday. Kyle mentioned on pre-game show that they hope to have her back for the Marshall game.
That's tough. An ankle injury usually turns out to be a season long "nagging" injury. They get better but usually don't go completely away until the off season. Hopefully Roberson gets some added "healing time" due to the holiday season.
Smart decision to sit her against McNeese. Also gave the two freshmen some valuable playing time and experience that could come in handy during conference play.
