I saw a change.org petition to get the 2022 CUSA tourney moved from Hattiesburg considering reports are they’ll be leaving for Sunbelt July 2022.

It needs to be moved. You dont want to play ball in CUSA, you don't get to host. Easy concept.
Our weak ass CUSA commissioner and remaining presidents don’t get it.
If it isn't in the conference bylaws, I think we should leave it alone. If USM can host the tournament in May and hit the door in June and have no qualms about doing that, then they obviously need it worse than CUSA. This is a prime example of "pick your battles" --- long term, is it better to sour a relationship with a school we have considered our partner for the last 10+ years? Said another way: If they can live with it, we can live without it.
Regardess, 1 thing needs to happen: if the "Departing School" clause is NOT in the bylaws, it needs to be added ASAP.
After the way their team and fans acted in Ruston last season at the tourney, I hope USM falls off the map athletically. Their players were foul mouthed and jawing with fans in the stands and their fans were bowing up and trying to fight with our fans after they lost.
Shame on Tech’s leadership if they don’t take a stand against letting USM get anything they want while bailing on CUSA. There are lots of other colleges out there, we don’t need them for anything.
If one of the other four remaining schools wants to host we should support it. USM is not only leaving the conference, they are also requesting an exception to the notice period to leave a year early and still think they should be able to host. Talk about "having your cake and eating it too"
A win in Hattisburg will be better for our NCAA Regional Host potential.
Understand the feeling, but let's not be like "UAB" -- with all the "We Got Football" butthurtness. Fans and yes, even players, are NOT the University of Southern Mississippi, nor Louisiana Tech University. Holding an entire institution responsible for stupid behavior on the part of a few fans and frustrated ball players (or 18-20 year old Band Members) is silly.
Was it Dickerson, that almost got knocked by Manny and Jorge? I remember Jorge just giving it to the umps and usm coaches, while telling the player to take his base.
