Quoting Bluto re: Anthony... "Seven years of college down the drain..."

We haven't had a QB since Higgins in 2016. Please get us one for 2022!

Can some of the N Louisiana locals give us an update on Andrew Brister? Obviously he's the son of former Steelers QB Bubby Brister. But is the young man a good QB? He's got good size. Why did he sign with Northern Colorado?

Wonder why didn't he didn't come back to ULM where his daddy played and beat the snot out of us one year in Ruston?

I wondered the same. Could it be he wants to be an engineer?

I don't know much about the transfers, but I figure that our new coach has some faith in them or they wouldn't be under his offense. I just feel good that we have CHOICES again!!! Hope it is a great competition between them all! How are we doing with our offensive line?

My guess on Brister...Preferred walk on who wanted to get closer to home.

Any of you local guys see him play in HS? Did he seem more like an FBS QB than FCS where he ended up?

Besides Lyddy, everyone is 200+ lbs. No scrawny QB.

Also won’t matter who our QB is if we can’t fix our Jr High level Offensive Line.

It’s been weak for the last few years.

Revolving door job where Skip took care of his "has been" friends.

The thing that worries me is that OL isn't as easy to fix quickly (at least not at a G5 school). My understanding (which is limited) is that at OL in particular you really want continuity. It's a little harder to just plug someone in the way you can at RB or WR. But the portal is a bit of a buyer's market right now I think and the existence of the portal has really left some juco and high school talent hanging out there available (for the longer term fix).

A spread to pass, up-tempo offense ought to help in some ways (don't need to maintain blocks that long, don't need amazing road-grader run blockers) but hurt in others (probably need really good depth if we're going to go up tempo).

    It's a concern.
