Sounds exactly like something the Holtz team of coaches and fans would put out. I call BS on that excuse. Just another Holtz flop at QB.

Wonder why didn't he didn't come back to ULM where his daddy played and beat the snot out of us one year in Ruston?

I wondered the same. Could it be he wants to be an engineer?

Back in the day I used to be a fairly decent tennis player until I actually took some lessons. I went from fairly decent to terrible. ;-)

LOL. Sounds like what happened to me as well. When I learned to do things the “right” way, my game got worse.

I guess we can add one more the list. Big juco career under one of our OCs. Is McNeil is favorite to start in 2022? Gotta be, right?

So, we have 6 QB’s on the roster. Are any of them THE GUY though?

Parker McNeil QB 6-4 225 Sr. 6th Year Austin, Texas / McNeil High School Navarro JC / Troy / Texas Tech
So, is the plan to have Parker McNeil and Luke Anthony fighting for the starting role in 2022, and then turn the car keys over to Landry Lyddy and Caleb Holstein in 2023?

    Re: 2022 QBs

    Parker McNeil stats:

    While at
NavarroCollege, he McNeil) threw for 6,635 passing yards (not 5,535 yd as this story said) and 51 touchdowns in 21 games. The Corsicana, Texas native was named a Juco All-American following the 2018 and 2019 seasons at Navarro. He became only the fourth player since 1970 and first since 2004-05 to lead the NJCAA in passing yards in back-to-back seasons.
That's some incredible JR College passing statistics for a kid who's only played about 3 snaps at Troy and none at TX Tech. Does anybody know the story on this kid? Why hasn't he played any football? This kid averaged 348.5 passing yards A GAME at Navarro College.

I don't get it. 348 yds passing per game is incredibly difficult to do over 21 games, no matter the level of play. The kid obviously can throw a football. But something doesn't add up about this kid's record.
