Preview: LA Tech at Southern Miss

I agree with being anxious about our dependence on the 3 ball. However, the formula has worked lately because at least 1 guy is hot each night. Then when that player gets hot, either Lofton gets a handful of buckets or facilitates to other open players. Our opponent doesn’t know who is going to rip the nets either, so it takes several trips down the floor for them to adjust to the guy with the hot hand. Our defense has been solid which has led to transition baskets. Not sure how far this can carry us, but at least it’s interesting.

I think that has been the key to some of our wins. We seem to almost always have someone hot on threes each game. We struggle in the first half trying to figure out who that one is, though. It rotates. By the second half, we usually figure it out. I would like to see Cobe drive inside more and draw fouls if he doesn't get the shot. He is SO quick, he can usually drive in pretty fast.

Archibald had back to back sucky games so he is due for a breakout, and this weekend vs. UAB is the perfect time for him to return to form. We'll need his production.
