Art Briles no longer coming to GSU. Wonder if he really doesn’t want to be a distraction or is it possible he sees a dumpster fire that he wants no part in?

Has there ever been a coach who got a second chance after a scandal as large and disgusting as the Baylor situation? Perhaps so, but I cannot recall one.

Question is will they use the standards to vet John Simon as they did with Art Briles?

Simon has a litany of Title IX violations and improper sexual advances allegations against him at Memphis

Or will they conveniently look past that - if so, they may have to cut a check to Briles from a possible civil suit

You do have to wonder what Hue Jackson is thinking? Of all the coaches he could have picked for this job he picks two with serious Title IX issues.

They want to go big at the lowest cost. That is going to mean baggage. Both of the coaches mentioned will not mind starting out again.
