    Re: 2024 Presidential Election

Harris won the debate last night. Yes, pains me to say this, but I have to be honest. She was prepared, had her array of comments to recite and she baited Trump to react, and he took the bait several times. If a voter watched the debate and knows nothing else about either candidate, they would vote for Harris. Fortunately, it is just one part of the overall picture. A battle, not the war. In the realm of politics, and in this case presidential politics, the game has its own rules. Last night Harris stuck to those rules and Trump, being himself, was all over the place.

Now, the Trump campaign needs to pivot, refocus on the issues, and have at it. And, Trump had better hope there's another debate. FOX has invited the candidates to a debate in October. I doubt Harris will accept the invitation.

Bernie Sanders let it slip out "Harris will say whatever it takes to get elected." And then she'll move...be tugged by her puppet masters...to the far left and this country will be in even deeper chit.

well, that provided some great contrast when i listened to the debate just a couple of hours later. not sure if either of the two people on that stage tonight has ever had an original thought worth communicating, and neither can communicate in a way that would give anyone confidence in their leadership.

how is it that the apparently nepotistic/cronyistic political appointment of a university president in louisiana yields better results than the "democratic" process?

i may wind up voting for trump (no way i could ever vote for harris), but i will hate myself for it if i do.
I'm not sure "original thoughts" matter so much for the President. I don't want him to have original thoughts. I want him to implement my thoughts.

The nepotistic process yields better results sometimes because the vast majority of people are not capable of self-governance and should have no say in the selection of leaders. Nepotism is just more honest about that.

She "won" in the minds of feminine voters, imo. She had no substantive critiques besides sassy facial expressions. The fact that they dropped the tactical Taylor Swift endorsement immediately after and are now asking for another debate tells me that the Harris team at least thinks it went poorly.

I do think Trump could have done better but he hit immigration every single question, was great on war and foreign policy, fine on economics. I'm sure he knew that it was going to be stacked but there's only so much you can do to prepare for a 3-on-1 fight against Regime apparatchiks.

Neither candidate has anything to gain by another debate. This one was for soundbytes - Trump got some great zingers in: "I'm speaking, sound familiar?" "Biden doesn't even know he's alive!" "They're eating dogs, folks" and Kamabla has headshots of looking like a sassy girlboss that her fans can roll out every time there's another foreign policy disaster.

    Re: 2024 Presidential Election

Watching CNBC, which I always do, and am pleasantly surprised by the endless parade of economists and businesspeople, ripping Harris' economic and tax proposals to shreds. Several also expressed support for Trump's tariffs, provided they are targeted in specific industries and against certain countries, like China. Wow! not what I expected on CNBC. Yes, CNBC tends to be fairly neutral politically, focusing on real matters like economy, the market, and the business environment without regard, usually, on politics. But, have to remember, CNBC is owned by the very liberal NBC and never shies away from trying to temper criticism of the Dems, while not pulling punches against Republicans...sans Joe Kearny, of course. I expected "the truth" but with a hint of apologetic covering for goofy Kamala, you know, "well, she means well." But, nope! They ripped her to shreds. Good stuff!

Won't help Trump's campaign since most of the Dem base, the moronic 48%, who will vote for Harris no matter what don't watch networks like CNBC as they are "renters" living paycheck to paycheck and taking in guvmint assistance. Those Dem supporters, like the self-serving billionaires, like the asshole Mark Cuban, and others, KNOW the truth about Harris' stupid proposals but are in it for other reasons. They also know NO WAY will most (if any) of Harris' stupid proposals will ever see the light of day. Like Bernie Sanders told all of us, Harris will say anything to get elected.

It was fun watching the libtard pencil neck Andrew whats-his-name, squirming as guest after guest refused to follow his lead and sing the praises of Harris' proposals.

CNBC got its marching orders from their puppet masters and got two bozos to sing the praises of Kamala. Both were remote interviews, hurriedly arranged. One is a woman financial analyst for some tiny, unheard of, financial advisor firm, one that preys on the elderly, I'm sure, and the other is an "Interim Associated Professor of Finance" at Yale, another woman. Neither are unbiased "experts" and were brought on just to TRY to bring some balance to the parade of anti-Harris pundits who had been invited weeks ago to be on the show.

BTW, what exactly is an "interim" associated professor? Ya mean she is so devoid of knowledge she is serving as a "substitute teacher" at Yale because she is not qualified to hold a permanent position? Well..given her praising of Kamala I think she just earned a permanent spot at Yale. They will love her radical libtardism, perfect for what they want to "teach."

    Re: 2024 Presidential Election

Most people think Harris won the debate, but in the post-debate polls, Harris has lost ground, Trump gaining. Maybe undecideds were waiting for this debate as a last chance to see if Harris is worth voting for, and her performance was simply not enough to overcome all of her baggage. In one poll, 60% of previously undecideds now say they are set to vote for Trump, 30% for Harris, and 10% still trying to decide. If this poll is typical then Trump has the race in the bag.

A CNN poll shows Trump gaining by 2% on who voters trust on the economy, that poll also post-debate. Trump leads 55% to 35% with 10% again still undecided on the question of the economy.

These and other post-debate polls being published today show many (most) undecideds have made up their minds and are trending strongly to Trump.

And today, the ultimate kick in the mouth for Kamala and the Dems, at the 9/11 ceremony with Trump, Vance standing shoulder to shoulder with Biden, Harris, and Schumer, the crowd was shouting "We love you President Trump," and even a chant began, "The Donald! The Donald!" which was hushed by others since this was actually a somber event of remembrance. Trump smiled and motioned for them to quiet down, but he mouthed "Thank you." Awesome!

I guarantee Harris et al are going ballistic at this now. How embarrassing for them. At a frickin' 9/11 ceremony...wow!

And to make matters worse for poor ole Kamala, Biden put on a "Trump 2024" cap at a campaign stop in Pennsylvania, handed him by a firefighter. Now, whether it was just a joke to Biden, the photo has gone viral, and Trump supporters are making the most of it.

And after enduring the pro-TRUMP chants for a few minutes, Harris stormed out of there, recorded muttering, "Let's get the f**k out of here." Some posters are making a big deal of her "foul mouth," but given the circumstances I think others might have said pretty much the same thing. Obviously, Kamala didn't want to be recorded, but with today's technology, even smart phones are capable of capturing audio at a distance.

I think Trump was not just blowing smoke when he said Biden hates Gamal. Biden is not principled, of course, but an endorsement of her opponent would be a final F U. Very interesting development.

Still don't underestimate the Dems' ability to cheat. But, this should make it harder for them. Harris has been in Pennsylvania a lot, hoping she can win this key swing state. In 2020 the Dems stole it for Biden. In order to steal an election the real vote has to be close.

Penn and Georgia are two huge states. Every, and I mean EVERY pundit is saying if Trump wins Penn and Georgia, he wins the election. The Dems know this too and that is why they are hunkered down in Pennsylvania.

Taylor Swift endorsement appears to have backfired...duh! Mostly it has had no real effect on voters' position on the POTUS race, as these numbers point out. What effect it has had favors Trump.

National Poll(s) on voters' reaction, asked about the Swift endorsement:

66% no effect at all, none
20% more likely to vote for Trump
8% more likely to vote for Harris
6% didn't understand the question, some said, "Who is Taylor Swift?"

FED cuts interest rates by 50 basis points, citing a cooling labor market, and a slowdown in the rate of inflation. Unemployment rate has risen to over 4.5% (reported, which means it is even higher). Inflation, again as reported, has slowed to 3.1% in August numbers. But, keep in mind, this still means the COL is still rising, just maybe at a slower rate than before.

    VOTE TRUMP!

    Re: 2024 Presidential Election

Teamster Union breaks with decades' long tradition of endorsing a presidential candidate, usually the Dem. This year they announced they won't be making any endorsement. This is either because they don't like Harris or because on several polls taken of Teamster members Trump leads 60% to Harris' 34% and the rest undecided. Everywhere in all polls, even in those polls where Harris has the lead, Trump is trending better than past GOP candidates have. What was the stupid nonsense about Trump wrecking the Republican Party? I have some family members who dislike Trump (they will still vote for him) and blame him for destroying the Republican Party. No, the RINOs like Romney, the Bushes, the Cheneys, the McCains, etc. have wrecked the GOP. If all good Americans will simply get out and vote we should see an EC landslide second only to Reagan's two major blowouts over Carter and Dukakis.

If Trump destroyed the GOP, it was because the GOP needed to be destroyed. He has forever changed the face of politics in this country. Can you imagine a Romney-type running after this? It's laughable!
