what a horrible home schedule......
The price for USM, ODU, and Marshall to leave early just went up.
Looking at the comp schedule, it looks like they tried to make it where schedule makers don't have to completely reshuffle the deck if USM, ODU & Marshall lawyers win.
Example: 10/8 Current Schedule MTSU @ ODU, Marshall @ UAB; MT & UAB aren't scheduled to play, so they can easily schedule MTSU @ UAB
Some dates aren't so easy, 11/19 all 3 quitters are scheduled to play at home.

UAB 2022 Schedule...
9/1 - Alabama A&M
9/10 - at Liberty
9/17 - Ga. Southern
10/1 - at FAU
10/8 - Marshall ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
10/15 - at LA Tech
10/22 - at Rice
10/29 - North Texas
11/5 - UTSA
11/12 - at UTEP
11/19 - at LSU
11/25 - Southern Miss ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Too bad their original message came seven months too late to do what they want.
If Marshall wants clarity, fork over $2 million (or an installment on that amount) by March 1. Or else it should be suspended from C-USA membership as of date that and it still owes the $2 million by June 30. Or it gets to stay for 2022-2023.

FIU is scheduled to close with the SB3. If cancelled, they won't play in November.
I imagine this is all orders from the SBC office telling them to depart early.

The three just assumed they would break the bylaws and walk away, negotiating a settlement.
It's reminds me of what UAB did when they dropped football. They just assumed that CUSA would allow them to remain in the league as a non-football playing member.
Poor assumptions.
