1 Shocker hit in the 5th. Still 3-3 at the halfway point.
Young reaches on a 1-out single, steals second, and scores from second on a 2-out infield hit by Netterville.
4-3 Tech after 5.
Gibson on to pitch in the 6th.
Guess video thought it was 6:00 PT start. Finally up.

Gibson retires the Shockers in order in the 6th.

Young scores again to make it 5-3. Hit batsman, moved to third on a Matulia double, and driven in on a McConnell sac fly.
Corona 2-out single (1 RBI, 4 for the game) and an error on the CF brings in Matulia and Netterville to make it 7-3 after 7.
Gibson has pitched three scoreless innings in relief. 7-3 Tech after 7 1/2.
Quick 8th for Tech. 7-3 heading to the 9th.

Hell of an opening win.
I liked the baseball which is the most important thing. I didn’t like the waste of a scoreboard. Surely we can get something out of it sooner rather than later.
How was the crowd?
Scoreboard only showed our logo and Wichita State’s logo. It even went out one inning. No picture or video of our players during their walk up music. Why even have such a nice scoreboard? Who is in charge of this? We need names? I even heard the paid subscription live stream wasn’t working for the 1st half of the game. Sad and big disappointment

RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech (1-0) opened its 2022 season with a home victory over Wichita State (0-1) Friday night at J.C. Love Field at Patterson Park 7-3. Bulldog catcher, Jorge Corona, led the offensive charge tallying four RBI including a game-tying 3-run home run in the fourth that ultimately jumpstarted the ball club.

Fun game, just cold.
Defense was solid. Pitching was good. Need more innings out of our starter, but our reliever did a great job! Only one E that was not recorded as an E.
Taylor Young is a baseball player. He scored the first run on his own by stealing second on his own and rounding third to come home on his own. Can't coach that ability.
Aramark concessions continue to suck, but the gate nazis are still doing a great job of harassing fans as they enter the stadium. Paid $27 for cold crap food after waiting forever.
