If we can sweep Tulane this weekend, we should be moving up pretty high in the rankings.
I think so too
So as we all probably knew beating LSU wouldn’t amount to much in the national rankings. It’s always more name recognition versus who beats who. For the vast number of SEC schools the recipe for their successes are massively heavy home schedules early in the year. As an example #1 Tennessee has played 19 of their first 22 games at home. With an advantage like that and the wins they pile up early they can then get into their conference schedules to trade wins and loses back and forth without ever falling too much out of the ranking picture. Tech has proven hands down that they’re better than LSU and get the tiggers are ranked and Tech isn’t. We’ll always have to do twice what the big name schools do and when the time comes we’ll have to do it on the road.
Rankings smakings - in college baseball they are merely window dressing for a beauty contest
We've settled in at 33 in the RPI after this weekend and LSU's series win at UF is the reason why
Need them and the others on our schedule to continue to win on a consistent basis
We need to get into the top 20 RPI wise and stay there - once we get past the USL midweek series (MUST WINS) we have NO top 100 rpi opportunities until MTSU and CLT
