Tech plays in spurts. Against good teams you can't have droughts like Tech routinely has because the spurts won't come often enough or last long enough.
After two straight empty offensive possessions you must have go-to plays to score. But Konkol doesn't do that.
Let's hope that is the case. Then they went to the other end and dropped the hammer with a 3 as the shot clock was about to expire. GAME OVER. We didn't score after our 9-0 run to tie the game. Outscored 7-0 in the final 3:14.
UAB clinches the #2 seed if it wins at UTEP tonight and then against Southern Miss since it has a win over North Texas and Tech does not.
And the #3 seed would put Tech in the bracket with North Texas for a possible semifinal matchup.

Would take two wins for Tech to get to the semifinal as #3 seed. Depends on whether you want to see those games.
