I played my senior year of baseball with a shoulder highly prone to dislocating. Started every game including the state championship.

Shoulder dislocated at least 6 times, including in the semi-final game.

Had surgery AFTER the season ended.

About the discussion about shortening halftime to 15 minutes.
Remember, that time would not start until the team arrives at their lockerroom…especially the visiting team.
That hike to the Fresno dressing room was a trip.
Even at The Joe visitors have go up the stairs and walk around the TAC to the old Tech dressing room in the field house.
with the current 20 minutes that transition time is included.

Back when I played, EVERY player tried to "play through" any injury. Why? We loved to play. We wanted all the playing time we could get and didn't want someone else taking our spot.

Yep, it's amazing what absolute pansies today's players have become. They wouldn't last one day "back in the day."
