Possibly a “get right” and “confidence” game

No posts that I’ve seen since the loss at Nicholls. Our guys just scored 21 runs. I’m not giving up on this squad just yet. I hope they are lit up with confidence going forward.

Honestly, after the LSU win true ball players know that LSU had 5-8 errors and for some reason wouldn’t swing the bat at fastballs they knew were coming. That was a very strange game to watch. The true identity of this team will be what we do over the next two weeks. Brantley looked like some random dude off the street at the plate against LSU. Were the McNeese pitchers that bad???

We had a tough stretch after that LSU win, but I hope this group is back on track now. That is a LOT of runs!!!! We need some consistency.... I have high hopes for the season and believe we will just get better as the season progresses. No top 20 ranking in the making, but we could be right up with the best by the end of the season - when it really counts.

This team has the potential to be about an 8 run team per game when everyone is playing like they’re capable. After that it depends on our pitching efficiency and Burroughs not doing anything foolish.

If not for Tech’s typical not making the most of their rare opportunity, ranking wise, we might could’ve stayed nationally relevant. Now after our 4 game, ‘we suck’ showcase, we’ve got to claw our way back to just being considered. It’s so Tech!
