North Texas is an 11 point favorite over Rice tomorrow. How good would an upset look in this one?
I watched some of the Rice game before our game started yesterday. Rice looked really good after a very slow start for both teams. They could pull off a huge upset. With North Texas, it is all about having an offense that can beat them. They will try their best to keep the score low and pull Rice into a low scoring game.
Personally, I think UAB is the best team in the conference this year. That may be because North Texas games always look ugly. Defense does win championships, but it isn't pretty.
It would be nice to win tonight and see UAB and N. Texas go down. That would make for an exciting Semi-final game! As for us, all that matters is WKU!
Now...it gets real.
To win the tourney and go dancing we will probably have to run the gauntlet of beating WKU, UNT and UAB. If the Dawgs pull that off, we will have earned our playoff berth.
Go Dawgs! You can do this. Beat the Toppers!
I am going to change all my predictions on what I would LOVE to happen, instead of any reality..
Rice upsets North Texas (they beat UAB in one game, so why not?)
Louisiana Tech guards catch fire and Jr. has his way down low. Tech blows WKU out!
UTEP upsets Middle Tenn. (could happen. UTEP has looked much better in late season)
FAU stuns UAB. UAB can't get their legs under them from the long rest...
There! That would be the optimal results for this round!!!
