Corona does drive me nuts by snatching his glove around. Framing is an art and he isn’t exactly Picasso.

This was not the game to put the sub .200 hitter in the DH slot. Forget the stuff about putting in lefty batters vs righty pitchers. We were already in a rough spot knowing Wallace or Burchfield has to play 1B, who are both barely hitting .200 themselves.

Can't make the mistakes we made last night against a great team.

Three passed balls scored as wild pitches cost us three runs.

The error at first was weird. The only person in the stadium not looking at the flying bat was our catcher. Obviously he has been given free reign to throw the ball down on pickoff attempts. I think LB needs to temper that down a bit if our outfielders are not going to back up the throws at all.

Like LB said in the post game..."There was no money in the outfield last night". I can count the number of times on one hand I've see the wind blowing in like it was last night.

It’s like our fielders haven’t communicated with Corona. They should know he will snap a throw down if someone is on base. I didn’t see the pitches get by Corona, so can’t speak to passed ball versus wild pitch. I did hear Dave mention that it looked like Corona was preparing to come up throwing on pitch in the turf and it got by him.

There is a certain beauty about station to station baseball and we witnessed that first hand last night from a very good team -

Our hitters failed to adjust to the conditions last night and couple that with the mistakes made behind the plate and on the mound by Jennings and you are going to struggle to win against ULM let alone a team like DBU -

Our players hit into the shift every time - theirs adjusted out on 3 occasions and beat our shit

Great crowd for a Tuesday night -

I don't have much faith that we will take one in Hattiesburg, let alone the series

One you can't tell by the radio - Dave really needs to step away, it seems like Jay is correcting him every other at bat

Corona has had trouble all year with the low pitch just off the plate to a right handed batter - they were passed balls which makes it so infuriating because he makes the tough stops that would be wild pitches

Last night it wasn't even a low pitch on the error on his snap throw, batter swings at second strike and bat literally lands in visitor dugout and EVERYONE is staring at the bat/batter including their runner and he then decides to make the snap throw which was perfect other than the fact no one was close to the bag...

The free bases Tech is giving up on pickoff throwing errors are way more than the number of runners that are being eliminated this year on successful pickoffs.

Jennings was tied for 3rd most on the team in errors last year behind Ray and Wells, and he is right there again behind Corona and Young. Tech must eliminate the preventable errors by Corona and the pitchers. But if Wallace hadn't been mesmerized by the flying bat, that runner would have been in big trouble at first.

This year's team is a much more uppercut swing team than last year's team was. Just makes you appreciate what Bates and Wells did even more.

Yeah, the recipe for beating Tech is pretty simple; pitch curves and off speed to the outer third for our batters since we swing for the fence almost all the time, play the shift to our batters’ tendencies because to the largest degree I don’t even think we try to go the other way, whenever they get the leadoff batter on base bunt him over because Tech rarely ever does this unless the game is close late in the innings. We don’t try to manufacture runs with strategy early in games, we either pound in runs or get stranded by way of strikeouts or fly outs. Tech has some very capable pitching but good teams hit the ball regardless. Tech’s weakest links get us every time and Burroughs pretty much never does anything to change anything. There’s no good reason why Corona should be catching 3 games out of 4.
