Tech 4-0 after 3.
Lightning delay. Line to the west is getting inside the 8-mile radius moving NNE. But another batch SSW on I-59 around Poplarville is moving straight into Hattiesburg. Could be a couple of hours.

Yeah, uh huh, I have a board meeting starting at 4:30. Have commitments tomorrow too. If the Dawgs go 2-0 in these two games I won't get to watch, well, I can live with it.
I suppose Gibson is finished, or he probably should be. 1) given what happened last week in the 4th inning, and 2) this long delay. His arm can't feel right, even with a warm-up.
Under an hour Gibson probably could have come back out. Should be less likely with every passing minute now. But knowing Burroughs anything is possible because he will listen to Gibson who will want to continue regardless.
Tail of the original line moving through Hattiesburg now. Next batch of heavier activity moving into Poplarville with a wide area north and northwest of Slidell.
Could still be some time if they wait for rain to get down to very light activity. Just may not be enough of a window to be clear of lightning for 30 minutes before more moves in.
Worst of what was to the south looks like it will just brush Hattiesburg and points south and east.
Rain still on radar coming in for some time yet. If they want a dry restart, we will stay in a holding pattern.

Sounds like Charlotte and La Tech are headed back to the hotel to wait out the remainder of the delay. But folks are cautiously optimistic play will resume in the next 2-3 hours.
Really tough on our thin pitching staff.
Awesome hoping we come back with crigger for a few innings and score some runs to shut down Charlotte.
Latest word is a radar check at 5:00 PM to determine if a resumption time can be set.
Looks like there is a hole in the rain that may get to Hattiesburg during the next hour or so. More rain is around the mouth of the Mississippi to south of Grand Isle moving inland.
They are shooting for a 6:45 PM restart. Just posted on C-USA's Twitter. And the Tech baseball account says 6:47 PM.
