It's been a long time since any men's team has won a conference tournament. Hopefully the Diamond Dawgs can take this one. It's sad that 2 softball tournament wins are the only conference tournament wins we have had since our time going back to the WAC.

I was talking bout sports in general for the first statement. But yeah I agree that those 12 years were dark and far too long.
Agreed on the second statement. Hosting a regional was much more desirable than winning the tournament. However I think it's a monkey we need to get off our back.

I don't get this, why should a team (and its fans) settle for an "either/or"? Dumb statement to make. How so? Look at USM and some other teams around the country who will be hosting a regional and would have LOVED!!! to have won their conference championship. Good Lord! have Tech fans become so used to losing, to coming up short that some accept consolation prizes!? Pawdawg posted the same dumb thing. Not me! I HATED losing that game to ODU last year! I HATED both hoops' teams losing in their championship games.
Today Tech has another chance to win a conference title. I suppose if we lose, and then go to the NCAAs anyway, some of you will be okay with it. Wow! I can't relate to this loser's attitude. I don't get it.

Fairly certain they only blow the train horn for a home run and I did hear it blown for any other team during the tourney.

It’s only right for the Dawgs to win the CUSA championship on USM’s field since we’re CUSA. We’re going to make their field our home away from home. All the ass kissing & rule breaking to allow SM to host after announcing they’re going Sun Belching didn’t pay off like they all thought, haha. Go Dawgs, dog pile UTSA!
When did Tech fans like you FORGET that we want to WIN? Why are you SETTLING for just both? Get rid of that LOSING ATTITUDE! I WANT to win the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP! Dawg80 mentions NOTHING about the COLLEGE WORLD SERIES. When did dawg80 gain such SMALLTIME THINKING? Anything less than NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP is a LOSING ATTITUDE!!
See how easy and ridiculous that is? My argument is about progression. Walk before running. Win the league. Win tournaments. Host Regionals. Win in the NCAA tournament. Host Super Regionals. Play in the College World Series. Win the College World Series. If we are improving, then that is good. We can't expect everything at once. I see winning the tournament as the next step.
