USM has to beat FAU this evening and UTSA twice tomorrow.

That top 8 national seed spot is looking for the closest entrance ramp on I-59 to hightail it out of Hattiesburg. Regional host spot isn't gone yet, but another loss tonight might do that in too.

As a general rule, I don’t like rules that take control away from the guys on the field. I do think the infield fly rule is a good rule though.

Yes, I know the reasoning, but my question is why not allow the infield to make such a play? The baserunners would have to go part way and then be alert. I just have issues, in all sports, with such arbitrary rules.

UTSA has a bunch of good hitters, 8 of their 9 starters bat .300+. They are mostly single hitters, not much power, but they are pesky.
