Didn’t let a few defensive mishaps and tough plays hurt us bad. I bet AD makes that catch to rob a HR if he had a do-over. Eventually Elliott is going to make one of those diving-for-groundball plays. I expect McLeod gets back to consistently playing a clean 3rd base.
Lancaster and Elliott being patient at the plate taking walks (and a HBP) to get on base to both help reach the top of the lineup or to set up the top of the lineup is good to see.
Are there any teachable things that TY can share with his teammates on getting a good jump when stealing bases? He succeeds so much more than the others at it and I don’t think it is because he is faster than all of them.
Insane how many runs were scored on Friday in many of the first day regional games. Let’s keep putting up crooked numbers vs UT!
Yes, don't attempt to steal in that situation. Nothing to gain with a large lead other than firing up the bad guys. LB was not happy about our last out being made there with a man on 3rd.
Agree, but something is still lacking when attempts to steal are made in suitable situations. Could just be TY has more experience being on base more and studying more.
