Guice's successor absolutely must be business savvy. And it needs to be a hire from somewhere else. Ideally that would be someone with Tech ties who has actually gone somewhere else and comes home. But it can't be someone who has been entrenched at Tech and is promoted to the top job like Reneau and Guice were.
Guice's successor needs to be in place sooner rather than later. Guice will soon be pushing 70 and will have served 12 years (my preferred term limit) by June 2025.
