So we'll either play a 3rd road game ($ game) or have no $ game that year.

If we even have football by 2028.
We will have football! Heck, we will probably be in a conference with UNT within 5 years.
We won’t be playing Arkansas, Miss State, Nebraska, etc. anymore…..but neither will 2/3 of current FBS schools.
Good to keep these relationships healthy
This is a good OOC home game for LA Tech for 2023. I'm very happy to see it. However, I'm a little disappointed to see that there's a 5-yr gap between these 2 games. LA Tech needs to play both UNT and SMU in football & basketball (mens and women's) OOC going forward. Perhaps rotate them?
LA Tech has got to keep the recruiting pipeline to the DFW market "open for business" over the next few years.
While the "Dallas Baptist" connection is a good one for LA Tech baseball, is does nothing for the overall perception of the university. When Tech plays baseball at DBU, we MIGHT have 100 people show up for a game in Dallas. By contrast, when LA Tech plays FOOTBALL at UNT (or SMU), it's not uncommon for 5K+ LA Tech fans to attend.
Make no mistake, UNT wanted this game in Denton as bad or worse than LA Tech did. Because LA Tech will likely draw the most visiting fans of any school the Mean Green plays at home that year, short of playing a Big XII school.
I agree about keeping that DFW recruiting pipeline active. Right now here is what we have in football.

Not sure about basketball (sportdawg?). But this isn't much. Also, agree Dallas Baptist baseball games will not help much with football and basketball recruiting. As long as we have to hit the road for games I say go to DFW as much as possible. Lots of Tech alums already there and great recruiting area.
Would be great to get a home-home with TCU.
