I’m a little out of touch but looking to get up to speed…who would you say are our QB1, 2, and 3 going into game 1?

1. Downing
2. McNeil
3. Lyddy
Let's hope we have an offensive line that can keep us from finding out who number 4 is. Or if 2 or 3 are ready to play college football yet.
You're right. Football games are usually won at the line of scrimmage by mostly anonymous and very large men. Win or lose the QB usually gets to much credit or blame. Our offensive line play the last two years has varied between not good and horrible. Let's hope Sonny and team has corrected this. Go Dawgs!
9 years of Skip's recirculated and regurgitated OLine coaches...they competed.
McFarland - flop
Guge - flop
Ultimately what did Skip in was his inability to fix the OLine.
2020 was a disaster.
2021 he brought in Guge to fix and instead Guge pontificated on Twitter about how to measure the Oline's effectiveness. When it was clear to everyone watching the game it wasn't even on par with local HS teams' Olines.
Skip had his fair share of great hires: Diaz, Baker, Sloan...but he also had his share of WTF hires and retreads. Coaches that should have been retired instead of rehired.
This loyalty ultimately did him in.
And Diaz came here after he had been fired from his previous job. He has since been fired again. He is now defensive coordinator at Penn State.
Baker had been removed from play calling duties, been fired once and been not detained once since leaving Tech. He is now safeties coach at Missouri.
It will be interesting to see how successful they are moving forward.
Anything will be better than that he last decade.
No, I thought we were talking about Oline
No matter the particulars about players I think things will be better just based on better leadership and the various coaches owning their responsibilities and not Holtz messing with everything and lessening the team efforts
