Thank you for the update. Brennan had a hard road at LSU. He was going to transfer, but Kelly talked him into staying. I imagine he stays retired.

At WKU former WVU starting QB Jarret Doege who left WV because he was going to not start again this year has announced he is now leaving WKU. He got beat out by another transfer. What makes this noteworthy is the guy who beat him out is a grad transfer from U of West Florida, a D-2 school. He has 2 years left and apparently is very good. He stats are video games numbers. I know it's only D-2 but it seems like West Florida and this kid are pretty good. His name is Austin Reed. Guess time will tell how good he really is.

That's discouraging. I hope his source was wrong.

I hope that he heard wrong, but we don't have a single returning QB. We don't have anyone with real FBS game time. And we know from everything that all of the Air Raid guys from Mumme to Leach to Dykes to Cumbie have always said, you can teach it in like 3 days but it takes a couple of years for it to "work." I guess we're all hoping that because the system isn't totally new to the two contenders for starter that may speed up the process a little.

But also - that's the usual fall camp news cycle right? Good day, bad day, D looked good, O looked good, D looked bad, O looked bad, etc.

What I get from all these QBs quitting is that the younger people of today have no grit, no battle in their bones. Quitters always quit they just use the camouflage of bouncing from school to school to hide their failures. Eventually though no matter what time runs out and reality sets in that playing a game isn’t always a life. Pros aren’t much different. Todays sports are more disappointing than ever.

Zach Champion struggle, Jamar Smith struggle, Ross Jenkins struggle. What level of struggle are we talking?

If I were the coaching staff, I’d want word getting out that we are bad at QB. Set low expectations.

Word is some in BR said Kelly straight-up lied to Brennan, he was told he would be the starting QB if he stayed. As for Doege he does have a track record of transferring. If he finds another spot somewhere it will be his fourth school. BGSU (starter) to WVU (starter) to WKU (back-up) to ???. At WVU he beat out a kid named Austin Kendall for the starting job, who later transferred.

I hope you can support our QB this season, as it is likely he will be a "quitter" too.

It’s obvious this genie will never be put back in the bottle. I really dislike this watered down version of sports. Of course, this is American culture. Don’t like your job, house, town, car, family, school, major, or gender? Well, we are convinced that changing any or all of these can make us happy.

Unless you're in Boise, Conway X 2, Cheney or Ypsilanti. In those places the turf isn't green at all.
