Are you trying to win the award for dumbest comment ever? Somebody already won that by saying we should play all football games in Shreveport.
Reneau running off KM only sped up the demise of WBB. Once the big schools decided to become aggressive in WBB our days were numbered.
We have no chance at a national championship in any sport at the division 1 level, PERIOD. Only sport where we are even close is women's bowling. I do not think that is even a d-1 sport. You see the teams involved in bowling? If the big boys ever decide to are about bowling that will be over also.
Not a great chance for national championship in baseball. It's been 5 years since a team from outside the P5 has even made the WS. I don't follow softball enough to know if we can be national champions, but I have my doubts. We seem to be pretty good in bowling. Problem is that is not a d-1 sport. Schools I have never even heard of are pretty good in bowling. Another problem is bowling is not a revenue sport nor is it a really good spectator sport.
National championships are not really a realistic goal for Tech athletics. I was happy to win a conference championship in baseball for the first time in 35 years.
Women's bowling counts as a Division I sport. But there is only one all-divisions "National Collegiate" championship.
During and after the game, the main weak area I noticed was our OL and DL. Our big boys were pushed around pretty easily against Mizzou. In the past our starters could mostly hold their own against most competition whether it be P5 or G5. When we substituted then you could see the fall off. Our OL/DL and LB's have to get stronger and fight off blocks and the man in front of them. We couldn't run the ball at all and we couldn't stop the run. Guess who's job that is?! I hope this staff has a plan for this and soon. I'm not ready to ditch these guys and look forward to another sport. This is still football season. Week 2
