How can I hate on Clemson with all those wonderful posts?! Very proud of Coach Cumbie and the players for their class act. HBTD!

Now...12.5 underdogs to USA? Wow! never expected such a margin. Even if it tightens up some, all I can say is, wow! and whoa!

We’re 2-1 ATS. We were only favored by 6 against SFA at home.

I didn't see where Vegas gave a spread for the SFA, I find it hard to believe it was only 6. I am sorry I missed that one. Free money!

I only saw that line on the ESPN app. Not sure where they got it.

Only 4 teams have more turnovers than us.
    UCONN 9 T/O's (1-3)
    Hawaii 10 T/O's (1-3)
    UTEP 11 T/O's (1-3)
    NM State 12 T/O's (1-3)
Those teams have played 4 games, while we have 8 T/O's in only 3 games. Teams that turn the ball over often have difficulty winning games.

Another glaring issue we have is running the football. We ran at will against a crappy FCS team (300 yards on 42 attempts). Against a not very good Missouri team (11 yards on 22 attempts). Against Clemson (12 yards on 21 attempts). The Clemson result is not shocking, even missing their best defensive lineman. But the Missouri results are troublesome. If we cannot run the ball against teams, on our level, it will make winning games much harder.

Another factor in this spread is UCLA (3-0) had to kick a last second field goal to beat USA (2-1). USA had some questionable play-calling (sound familiar) or they would have beaten UCLA.

I thought we would be a bigger underdog than 3 points, but I think we should cover the 12.5.

Personally, I do not believe, do not accept that South Alabama is 14 pts better than us. But, the fact others see it that way is troubling. Perception can become reality.

To me, and to others who have expressed similar sentiments, this is the KEY GAME for this season, for this team, and by extension for the near-future prospects of Tech Football. The recent past has been horrific for the program, and it needs a shot in the arm.

Tech is on the opposite end of getting the benefit of the doubt from the oddsmakers because we have an entirely new and essentially unproven coaching staff. Attach that to all the other components of a mostly new Tech team approach to things, add in our high turnover numbers and the sometimes strange game management decisions and I’m not surprised that everyone thinks we’re going to fall on our faces enough to giveaway ample unearned points.

I think the predictions are justified from a statistical point of view, but even more so I think Tech can coach and play better. I think it’s mostly a matter of staying composed and not let the critical moments in the game get too big for us… Us being primarily the coaches.

I’m thinking Tech comes through in a nail biting squeaky last series decision. Go Dawgs!

Other fanbases that have impressed me in my short time as a Tech football fan include Clemson, Auburn, TAMU, Boise, UNT, & USM.

I know there are plenty others, but those in particular have stood out (to me) as fan cultures that value sportsmanship and hospitality.

I'm agreeable on all but A&M in College Station. They were not Aholes, but they were not outgoing like Auburn, UNT, or even Arkansas.

Not sure what you experienced at USM. Football tailgate was tolerable, but their baseball fans are idiots.

Auburn really stood out as great hospitality pre game for me. It was me and my buddy (16) and my brother (13) walking with my mom (she drove us there like a champ) so that may have swayed their kindness. We ate a lot of free food. Now my brother is pursuing his doctorate of electrical engineering at Auburn! So, I guess Auburn would be my second team if I had to choose one.
