That's true, but I'm tempering my optimism on that because we still haven't played a close game against an FBS opponent. There's an intangible quality that good teams have...they know how to win. UTEP has experienced more winning in the past two years than they previously had. It remains to be seen whether or not the current Bulldogs know how to win.

UTEP would have lost at Charlotte without getting the two fumble return TDs. The key for Tech is keeping turnovers to 1 at most. Two or more turnovers will not be a winning formula Saturday night.

I don't think South Alabama is particularly good. Mizzou and Clemson, ah, yes.

I hear you. I just based my earlier comment on the fact that South Alabama is rated higher than all of our conference mates on Sagarin. And, I feel they are better right now than any team in our conference. Plus their only loss is 1 point loss on a field goal at the end of regulation to #18 UCLA, otherwise they would be 5-0.
