No doubt Grubbs felt he had to make every play and now because of his extra effort he’s hurt and Tech is seriously wounded in our capabilities

How late in the season can you get a medical red shirt?

    https://www.2adays.com/blog/redshirt...l-experiences/

In 2018 there was an NCAA medical redshirt rule change. According to the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Compliance, Scott Young, “the NCAA has two requirements for a medical redshirt; the injury must have occurred in the first half of the season, and the athlete must have competed in less than 30 percent of the season. You must provide documentation of the injury, and it must be considered season-ending.”

Tyler has played in 5 games so far, out of our 12. Therefore, he has played in in over 30% of the season, so no medical redshirt according to this new rule. Also, since he played in fives games he cannot use a regular redshirt. Not sure how the appeal process works.

    Maybe Cumbie should appeal it.

“Come on guys! He’s the only good player I got!”

That's because none of his defensive teammates could make a tackle. And they still can't.

We rarely see a defensive lineman she’d a block and make a tackle.

Cecil Singleton, Jr (DB) is an awful tackler. Just awful. For those of you watching at home, he 's the transfer from Miami of Ohio who wear's the #2 jersey on LA Tech's vaunted defense. CAUTION: Singleton's laziness, slow speed and ability to overrun plays will frustrate the hell out of you. I think my 80 something year old dad could outrun him in the 40. . His bio says he was All- Conference in the MAC but that's got to be BS. It's really quite entertaining to watch the mistakes this kid makes. He appears to be afraid of contact. Singleton also received the "Personal Foul" taunting penalty that may have cost Tech the game today.

I commented repeatedly elsewhere how terrible he is. Surely there’s a younger player to invest some playing time in because this guy is pure D awful. A genuine slacker.

The All-Conference was in high school according to the bio I read. I too thought no way that was the case (All-Conference in the MAC). I would say he is not really a FBS player, but he looks likes a d-2 player to me, not even FCS.

Getting talent on defense has to be the focus of recruiting this year, especially at linebacker and safety. I’ve never seen a Tech defense with less talent in those two spots.

Jesus Christ stop attacking the player and attack the coach that keeps sending him out there if you have a problem with him. It’s not his fault he keeps having his number called to get onto the field and he, according to you all, is awful.
