We wore Columbia blue jerseys in the '80's.

Just like Notre Dame used to primarily wear green in the 50's.

We also have sported Columbia blue pants with the road, white jersey and red helmet.

I don't remember it. I am going to go ahead and go against it due to tradition but I'm sure it could look good. Anyone got any pics lying around?

I'm pretty sure they're doing that to show that each style is available, but God forbid someone wears their socks how they want to.

There was a time, not too long ago, that some around here were screaming to switch to and stay with royal blue. No other shades of blue allowed. Now, we get Columbia blue and the board is going nuts about 'em. BTW, I have never had an issue with Columbia blue. That is the official blue for Rummel, so I already have a history with it.

In the bigger picture a thread about unis is going and no one is mentioning the game they will be worn in. Probably because these unis will be the best thing we'll see Saturday.

An inconsequential detail really, but I'm putting my two cents in. The switch to the athletics logo above the facemask was ridiculous. Having TECH spelled out across it was much better. The logo is tiny and hard to distinguish.

I actually think this "Columbia Blue" outfit looks pretty good. The helmet looks real good. Somebody did a really good job with this look.

The last time we wore the columbia blue jerseys was 1987. We wore the columbia blue pants through the 1988 season. In the first 1-A game in 1989 at USL we came out in white pants with no stripe on the red helmets. Columbia blue hasn't been seen in our football program until this video.

Look again I think his socks are the same length. What you are referring to looks like a compression leg sleeve. Aids in blood flow, reduces chance of injuries. I am sure he means no disrespect.

The only problem most of us have ever had with the Columbia blue is when our some of our dumb ass fans refer to it as "lady techster" blue.

Very few of our fans know that one of our greatest coaches put that shade of blue on the map, not the WBB team.

I see what you’re saying and agree. The picture I saw was rather small and I obviously didn’t see it accurately.
