I'll tell you one thing that is a MAJOR improvement over last year: these guys don't quit. They fight till the end. Contrast that to some of the 4th quarter sideline scenes in previous years when the energy level was zero. As an alum it makes me proud to see our team NOT QUIT NO MATTER WHAT. The Holtz era was just depressing...

Tech hasn't had consecutive wins in its last 23 games. Have to go back to games 24 (2020 UAB) and 23 (2020 North Texas, last road win) to get consecutive wins.

Defense only allowed 57 rushing yards tonight. Pass defense gave up 321, and many of those were too easy.

All this talk about who to start at QB reminded me of when Southern Miss started a RB at QB and still beat us in Ruston.
Anyways, our special teams is the worst it’s ever been, and we’ve never had less talent on defense. A lot of these guys couldn’t make the team at Northwestern St. I can’t count how many balls that were thrown directly to a Tech defender was dropped. If Cumbie turns this ship around in 3 years, he can have any job he wants, but I don’t see it happening. We are beyond terrible!!
